Geroskipou town hall is located a few kilometres from Paphos. The name ‘Geroskipou’ translates beautifully as ‘Holy Garden’ and, according to legend, the area was visited by Goddess of Love, Aphrodite.
The town hall has a splendid view of the sea and is an attractive out-of-doors space for a large wedding party.
If the idea of an outdoor setting attractes you, the glorious months of May and September are the best months in the Mediterranean.
The Ceremony
A civil ceremony at Geroskipou Town Hall would start with a CD rendition of ‘Here Comes the Bride’ for the entry of the bride, if the couple wants a traditional touch. The marriage officer joins the ceremony after the bride arrives.
Of course, you are free to select your own personal choice of music for both the entry of the bride and the exit of the newlyweds and guests.
During the ceremony the couple would remain standing as it is quite short, lasting approximately 7-8 minutes.
There is no restriction on who can give the bride away. This is always the personal choice of the bride. However, two witnesses, each over the age of 18, need to attend. The witnesses can be chosen by you, the couple. If you do not have any witnesses, two will be provided by the Town Hall and Cheap Weddings Cyprus.
Ceremonies at Geroskipou Town Hall can take place between 8:30am and 2pm from Monday to Friday.

- Pre-arranged meeting with wedding planner at local municipality to submit all necessary documentation.
- Attendance of your wedding planner on the day of your wedding ceremony.
- Completion and delivery of beautiful wedding album, video or DVD if purchased as an extra option.
The above package is €600.00.
Additional costs
Compulsory wedding licence is €282.00 in addition to the above, payable directly to the Municipality. Ceremonies take place between 9.30am to 1.30pm. Ceremonies can take place in the afternoon between 2pm to 5pm with a private registrar for €145.23 in addition to the wedding licence fee (i.e. €427.23).
